Calliko- Edisode 1: Counter Culture Tour

Chiddy Bang World Record Freestyle & New Mixtape "Peanut Butter & Swelly"

Im pissed I missed the first hour and a half of Chiddy's live attempt at breaking a world record. Thats what youre last class of the semester will do to ya,  but its gonna be going on for a while so it doesnt really matter haha. Today Chiddy Bang along with his go-to producer Xaphoon Jones are aiming to set a new longest freestyle world record. Its an awesome publicity stunt that has the whole web tuned in. The event is being broadcasted live from Las Vegas HERE!!! Check it out...

To top it off he apparently didn’t think that was enough fun for one day. TNM got a good response to Jelani and Durkin's last collab banger "Ok, You're Up".  This is track brings the same sick flow and wholesome instrumentals that you'd expect from Jelani. Im really feeling this title, thats exactly how I feel with my headphones on and aparently so does Jelani. As usual I like to let him do a little talking. Here's what he had to say about making the track,

"Whenever I go out, I'm always in thinking mode. I'm one of those dudes that can't help but to study his environment; a hall of fame people-watcher, if you will. Just from the Art of observation, I pick up a lot of ideas and wisdom. It also allows me to really *see* the world around me for what it is, as well as come to conclusions about things going on in my own life. That said, I'd had this beat on my BlackBerry for a while and I used to play it ALL the time while I was walking around Manhattan. So when it came time to write a song to it, what I wanted to do was take people inside my world and give them a first person perspective of the way I think when my headphones are on. Or rather, the way this particular beat made me see the world as it was playing."

Panama-Dear God

With another leak Panama is building up a full head of steam for his upcoming release, "The 507 Flow", on 5/4/11. Here is the second leak "Dear God" produced by Austin Millz. Panama has some shows coming up in May with some BIG time artists like Vado, Cyhi Da Prince, and Stalley. Ill post the dates and details after the jump.  Not my favorite track from Panama, maybe because the repetative 'Dear God', but it does add a deeper element to the song. Norwegian Recycling- Lights (Mashup)

 

Here is a pretty sick mashup from one of the best in the game. Norwegian Recycling does some pretty complex mashups, but some how makes them work. Here is a little blurb he put out in regard to the song,

Kj Hamilton-Supa Dupa High

This past winter, Kj Hamilton, 19, released his debut EP, "Aspiring MC Vol. I." Boasting a track-listing of 8 songs, Volume I introduced TNM to the up and coming southern emcee. His second single, "Love Leaves" has made its way around the internet, and landed him straight in the 'Artists TNM Supports'. Late Sunday night Kj dropped me a line stating he is currently working on his debut mixtape, which is expected to drop early this summer. In the meantime, he doesn't want to leave his fans in the dark, so hes letting this one go. The unfinished track did not make the final version of "Aspiring MC Vol. I" but is still worth the listen nonetheless. Going over Missy Elliot's "Supa Dupa Fly" instrumental, Kj Hamilton spits a quick verse and takes his fans on a trip to the moon. Enjoy!

Also above is the video of Panama's Sucka Free Freestyle from last week. Damn was I pumped to see our boy on TV rapping (yes yes he's been on HBO's 'The Wire'). Here is the newest batch of Cloud9 originals & remixes. With a swamp of submission it took a little longer to get around to these than I would have liked, but FINALLY I can share them with you. Works out well its kinda Techno Tuesday... Anyways this isnt the first time Ive posted Cloud9 and his last handfull of songs got a great response. Personally Im a huge fan of his remixes, but the originals are definitley growing on me. I strongly recommend copping the tracks below, theyll come in handy come party time.
